TEACH. PREACH. HEAL. Fight fire with FIRE from HEAVEN

The street drug known as Meth, or Crystal Meth, is now considered one of the fastest growing and most serious drug problems affecting the United States today. The use and manufacturing of Meth - also known as tweak, ice, crank, chalk, go fast, speed, ice, glass, fluff, as well as many other street names, is once again on the rise.

One of the reasons that Meth has become increasingly popular, is because it can be manufactured by combining specific chemicals, all of which can be obtained legally. Many of the ingredients used to manufacture Meth can be found in any neighborhood store, and can easily be purchased over the counter.

Another reason that Meth is so popular is because its mood-altering effects are widely known to last for extremely long periods of time. Meth is a powerful stimulant that alters the users mood in various different ways, as the effects of using it gradually diminish over time.

Immediately after the use of Meth, the user experiences an intense rush, or feeling of extreme pleasure. Meth usually generates this euphoric feeling for up to 8 hours at a time or longer. The high that Meth produces is the direct result of a surge of a chemical called dopamine in the brain.

Dopamine is a neurotransmitter, the chemical that communicates a message from one brain cell to another. The use of Meth creates a huge surge in dopamine and an intense long lasting 'high'.

The dopamine is then depleted, and what ends up happening is that the 'crash' after the Meth wears off is intensely painful, and lasts alot longer than the 'high'. The only thing then that will relieve the anguish of the crash that the user is feeling, is another 'high' or 'fix'.

Some of the side effects of Meth use include paranoia, rage, violence, severe panic attacks, delusions, hallucinations, brain and organ damage, and death. There are more consequences of Meth use as well, such as family alienation, financial downfall, suicide, incarceration, loss of family, and irreversible meth-induced psychosis.

There is no such thing as 'one time use' with Meth. Meth is extremely dangerous and highly addictive, and causes severe, often irreversible, physical as well as psychological damage to the user. The manufacturing of Meth is also very dangerous because the process is extremely toxic and highly explosive.

The use and abuse of Methamphetamine has gone rampant throughout the States and beyond. Our goal is to educate youth, adults, schools, churches and communities as a whole on this dangerous drug that is rapidly destroying lives. It is our hope to reach the public and put a stop to meth and its use before it is even started.

Methamphetamine is not only an extremely dangerous highly addictive drug, but is also one of the leading causes of suicide and murder in our nation and beyond. We are hoping that by educating the public on this drug, that the use and abuse of Methamphetamine will substantially decrease. Remember...it is what the public DOES NOT know about this drug that is killing them.

Mary Scanlon is an ex-Methamphetamine user who educates youth, schools and their staff, churches and communities on Methamphetamine. She uses an extremely educational power point presentation to educate the public. The information she shares about Meth includes some of the following:

* What is Meth?

* The various different forms of Meth

* How Meth is used

* How to identify a Meth user

* How to identify a Meth lab

* The devestating effects of Meth on the user and loved ones (Warning: contains graphic images)

* The consequences of Meth use

* Before and after pictures of Meth users

* Resource information

* and more...

She then follows this power point presentation with her personal testimony of how in a little over a one year period of using Meth, it had cost her everything that she had.

She shares her story of how she had lost family, friends, her finances, her home, her children, and almost her life at the hands of a crazed and angry drug dealer who, in his own paranoid delusional thinking from Meth, thought that she was someone else, and tried to overdose her.

She shares about how paranoid and delusional Meth use had made the people around her, herself included. She speaks of tearing apart her home convinced that everything was 'bugged' by the Feds, taping peepholes and windows shut, leaving the house in disguises, rapid weight loss so severe that people were constantly asking her if she were dying of AIDS, patches of hair torn out, sores on her body, all effects of the use of Meth after a short period of time.

She shares how having nothing left at all, she was then incarcerated and in utter despair and despondancy from meth addiction, and how she then decided that she wanted to commit suicide. It was in the midst of this suicide attempt, that she cried out to the Lord Jesus Christ, and He Supernaturally intervened, and spared her life. EXTREMELY POWERFUL TESTIMONY!!!

Along with her presentation, she also includes educational brochures on other deadly street drugs such as:

* Marijuana

* Cocaine

* Heroin

* Alcohol and Nicotine

* LSD

* Ecstasy

* Date Rape Drug

* ...and more
